97. Finding My Purpose- Ideas, Ideas, Ideas! (Mr Blue part 3) with Laurie Donahue

Season #2

Do you (or your child) ever feel like you are a nobody compared to someone else? Do you (or your child) feel like you don't want to try because you will never be as good? Do you (or your child) ever sit on the sidelines because you are afraid to jump in the game? I think this is universal, but this is not God's plan for us. After all, he has told us that we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10) This week we are airing our 3rd of 3 podcasts on this topic. We will continue to explore the picture book, Mr. Blue- a Job for You with activities and ideas. Here are 2 of the themes we are presenting.

  1. When we compare ourselves to others, we can feed destructive patterns that can negatively affect our entire lives.
  2. God has purposes for us which he has planned from long ago. We need to follow His leading to find out what they are.

We want to help our kids (and maybe us) find our God-given purpose. Today's podcast is a commentary on what gets in the way of Mr. Blue (and us) finding our purpose. Although there are many reasons, we will only talk about 9 for the sake of time. We will look to Scripture to see what God might say about it. At the end of these notes, you can click on a link that will take you to a pdf that you can download to follow along. I will also include a link to the YouTube video of my reading of Mr. Blue- a Job for You
